Show Reviews.
Version City Party, Saturday April 7th @ The Knitting Factory NYC
The show was deffinitly awesome, and had a pretty damn good turnout too. It was a little slow during the first band but as the night went on more and more people came. It was a good mix of all ages.
The Ambitions - Pretty damn good, i had never heard them before, or heard of them but they didn't dissapoint me, they were a Rock/Soul kinda thing which was pretty awesome.
Predator Dub Assasins - INCREDIBLE, I had never heard anything from these guys either, but i was excited to see them none the less. They deffinitly got things started and people dancing. They played a lot of reggae and ska music. I didn't get a chance to pick up the CD, but if its anything like how they played tonight i imagine its pretty damn amazing. Someone has to get these guys on a local show soon.
Rudie Crew - Damn good performance as always. They have a lot of energy and sounded amazing tonight. I deffinitly reccomend picking up one of their CD's or listening to them if a friend as them because they are not a band you want to miss out on. They deffinitly have to come to Jersey more and play.
Radiation Kings - I missed these guys when they played down in Asbury a while back, and after i got their CD i regretted not going to that show. Seeing them tonight made me regret not going to that show even more, they put on an amazing performance and sounded tight. Deffinitly check these guys out.
Eastern Standard Time - Amazing again. Last time i got to see them was at 3 Floors a while back and they were amazing then too. The CD's are phenomenal. Very Danceable, and a great sound to them. If you missed the show last night you can check them out at Hamilton Street Cafe in Boundbrook on May 26th. (Don't Miss This Show, Full Lineup TBA Soon so check back about it)
I give this show an A+
